How to register autel maxidas ds808?

1. Go to the website: http://pro.autel.com.
2. On the Sign In page, input your account ID and other information to log in if you already have an account.
3. If you are a new member of Autel and do not have an account yet, click the Create Autel ID button on the left side.
4. Enter the required information in the input fields, read through Autel's Terms and Conditions and tick on Agree, and then click Create Autel ID at the bottom to continue.
5. The online system will automatically send a confirmation email to the registered email address. Validate your account by clicking the link provided through the mail. A product registration screen opens.
6. Find out the scanner's serial number and password from the About section of the Settings application on the Display Tablet.
7. Select the product model of your DS808 scanner, enter the product serial number and password on the Product Registration screen, and click on Submit to complete the registration.
8. Then you can use Autel DS808 for OBDII diagnosis and special functions (Oil Reset Service, TPMS Programming Service, EPB Service, ABS/SRS Services, SAS Calibration Service, DPF Regeneration Service)
How to update Autel DS808 (With Conkit) software:
 
1. Make sure the Display Tablet is connected to a power source with stable access to the internet.
 
2. Tap the Update application button from the MaxiDAS Job Menu;
or tap the update notification message when received one;
or tap the Update icon on Vehicle Menu in the Diagnostics application.
The Update application screen displays.
 
3. Check all available updates:
If you decide to update all the items, tap the Update All button.
If you only want to update one or some of the item(s), tap the Update button on the right column of the specific item(s).
 
4. Tap the Pause button to suspend the updating process. When you tap Continue to renew the update, the updating process will resume
from the breakpoint.
 
5. When the updating process is completed, the firmware will be installed automatically. The previous version will be replaced.

Q: Can you use this to program new keys
A: Yes you can reprogram keys with this tester

Q: Can you program the abs module with this
A: DS708 can not program the abs module. Only maxisys pro can do it

Q: Is it available with the standard package which has fewer adapters and cables?
A: Yes, we have a standard package Autel Maxidas DS808.

Q: Is it difficult to register this device? And can it support Spanish?
A: Registering the device was easy. You simply go to autel’s website and set up an account. Once you do that you take the registration code/passcode from the scan tool and register it on the website. You then make sure that the scan tool is hooked up to your wifi which is set up in settings. Then you are ready to update the scan tool with the latest software.
Changing the language settings is also easy. You simply do that in settings as well and have multiple different choices. I do know Spanish was one of them. I returned mine because it could not code or reset any adaptations in any modules on my vehicles. My vehicles are about 15 years old and I think the support on older vehicles goes away with the updates. It probably has more capabilities on the newer vehicles. I should have purchased one of these 5 years ago and never updated it so that the scan tool could retain its capabilities.

Q: Can I use it for other connections besides OBD2?
A: Yes, this is a full set version, it is included with many cables and adapters which are not OBD2.

Q: What is the headset used for with the scan tool
A: It’s not used with the tool is just a free giveaway to get you to buy an outdated tool that according to autel there will be no more updates after Dec 2017. I sent it back because I couldn’t get it to update or more like it removed software during the update which is another common complaint on their site. I feel it’s dishonest to sell things claiming a year full of updates and it’s not a year is much less than a year but I guess China isn’t afraid of a class action for fraud.

Q: Does it do tire pressure and how about the free headset?
A: It will perform limited tire pressure functions (i.e. Read it) if the ECU program allows it via OBD II connector. The free headphones are surprisingly very good, they are comfortable, easy to use, the battery lasts a long time, and rechargeable.

Q: Does this tool have bi-directional control and diagnostics for the Body Control Module?
A: Yes, of course, it can support it.

Q: can it program tpms sensor
A: It can put the car into programing mode but you will need a tpms sensor tool

Q: Can it do a power balance on a ford 2006 f350 diesel?
A: Yes, it can be supported.

Q: Can I use it in the Spanish language?
A: Could you tell me the serial No. of your DS808? To change language, you need to download all the software again, so your device needs to be within the updating period. If it is still within updating period, please provide us the serial No. and we can ask Autel to authorize Spanish for you.

Q: Can this unit be used to relearn the idle, on a 2010 chevy 1500 Silverado z71, auto trans, 5.3
A: Yes, it can be supported.

Q: Does it work on a 24v truck
A: Mine is an 808 and is 12 volt only. You may have to get one for heavy-duty trucks, depending on the make. Sorry I couldn’t help.
